I think this book is great.:
This book is what it is. It is not a how to book. It is straight forward wiring diagrams just like the title says. I looked it over carefully before I bought it and decided it was a very good book for what I wanted. It is not for the do it your selfer. But I think this book is great and would recommend it.
is it a good book for a field electrician to have in his back pocket?:
about a 1/3 of it is. the other 2/3s can be found on any electrician's bookshelf when they went through training. The pulpy 2/3 is good information but how many times you use it is so limited it is better on the bookshelf. The space in the book could have been better used to cram usefull code info, transformer wiring sizes, conduit fill tables, wire ampacity tables, lighting fixture layout and lumen levels, branch circuit wiring, and hints and tips for easier installations (like all of the slider-rule hand... more info
