If you're going to buy one sewing book, this is the one! It is packed with useful and understandable information. I checked it out of the library, but now I'm buying it so that I'll always have it nearby to refer to.
I own "Sew Everything Workshop" and "Bend the Rules Sewing" both of which are invaluable to the beginning sewer and user friendly, but "High Fashion Sewing Secrets" is far superior. This book is filled with information and great sewing techniques so that no matter what you make, it will fit... but it won't just fit, it will fit as if you had it custom made by Chanel. There are lots of secrets that make sewing seem like a snap. I've been sewing for years, and I love the book.
