Buy this saw: Another excellent tool from Milwaukee. The adjustable handle is a very nice touch. It is not too heavy, but is still very rugged. The base was dead flat. Switching blades is a snap. Binding? Stalling?: I bought the Milwaukee as my first circular saw after reading about it in Consumer Reports. I've heard that circular saws sometimes stall or have difficulty cutting through certain things, but that is not something I've ever experienced with this saw. I've cut through PT 2x lumber, plywood, cement board, 1-1/2" thick flooring (with nails), and aluminum siding effortlessly. The saw is still going strong after 2 years of fairly heavy work. Cutting Corners?: Bought this saw from from a brick and mortar store. So here is my first impression. Got it to replace a dewalt dw396. Took it home and unpacked it. Started looking it over and was >SHOCKED<. Not by electricity but where it was made...CHINA! The one on the store display said made in mexico. I can live with that, but china? I guess since milwaukee is owned by a company in hong kong now, production will head that way to increase profits.
