The closed coat feature provides a better finish and less aggressive cut than a comparable open coat abrasives of the same grade
Editorial Review:
The P-graded regalite mineral construction of 3M's purple sanding belts gives them an aggressive initial cut, consistent cut rate, and long life. Other features include: better leveling with uniform finish; higher stock removal with less heat and loading; and reduced labor cost per workpiece. The belt's butt splice allows unidirectional sanding for extended life and reduced abrasive cost per workpiece
