I bought these wood clamps for my boyfriend who is just getting into woodworking. He loves them and uses them for everything. They are extremely high quality and I purchased them because after looking through many, many reviews, people who sounded like they knew what they were talking about said that Jorgensens are the best. They are easy to use and maintain a very firm grip on your pieces without denting them at all. These wood clamps wills not disappoint!
Good basic size, get at least 2.:
These clamps have been around for ever. Any good woodworking shop has a pile of them. Get them in pairs at a minimum and get a variety of sizes you won't be sorry. They'll last your lifetime and longer.
Oh yeah the other dimension you need to know is the distance from the tip to the middle spindle on this clamp is 5 inches.

I always wanted one of these:
These are the kind of clamps I always saw in pictures when I was a kid. So, I always associated these with wood working. They are high quality and very well made. You won't regret getting a set.
They are for every purpose as you can see. Curved and small surfaces are not what these are for. However if you need to clamp flat surfaces without marring, then this is a great clamp to use.
