Great detail saw:
This saw is a great detail saw. The blade is replaceable with the same or other shark saw blades. Can not find any thing comparable for twice the price. Cuts fantastic with an ultra narrow kerf.

Shark 10-2440 Fine Cut Saw - I don't know that I really need this (that didn't enter into the decision of whether or not to buy it); but after reading the Japanese woodworking books and seeing them work, I just had to have a long straight handled saw. 'Nuf said. These saws are: 1. sharp; 2. affordable; 3. easy to use (after a short learning curve).
These saws: 1. cut a thin kerf; 5. are very sharp; 6. allow you to do precision cutting.

I've used several other, more expensive, pull saws. We call them sushi saws on the site. This one is great. Very sharp. Just wish it came with a sheath.
Love this saw:
If you're used to Western saws, it might take you a while to get used to a pull saw. Usually, that's about five minutes! This saw has two cutting edges, one for ripping and one for cross-cutting, and it does both really well. It's light, extremely sharp, and makes short work of just about anything. I have a table saw, band saw, jig saw and circular saw, but unless I have to make many repetitive cuts this is the saw I use. You can pay a little more and get the same kind of saw with a fancy handle.... more info
