Bosch has really broken ahead of the pack with their new miter finder/digital protractor/angle finder. The handiest thing, in our opinion, you can do with this tool is calculate miter and bevel angles for crown molding cuts easily and efficiently--using the molding spring angle and the corner angle as your input. It's also great for remodelers who often need to cut trim at odd angles to achieve a good fit. The tool's digital display is large and easy to read, and there's also a hold function that freezes the measurement. The finder also has an old-school leveler, so you know you're operating in pure horizontal reality. Plus, it fits lightly in your hand. Really, this is a very cool and unique tool, one we think finish carpenters and remodelers will find invaluable in their quest for quick, perfect fits. --Michael Shilling

Had problems with Bosch protractor:
I got the Bosch Digital protractor for a gift that I requested. Upon opening, and installing the batteries, I found that when I tried to calculate any spring angles or any angle at that point, the protractor only displayed four dashes, and would not calculate anything. It then went back to the angle the arms were opened to. Not being able to get the unit to do anything but read the angles by the arms, I decided to send it back for a refund. All Spare Tools Gives no Delivery Status:
I have been waiting fort this tool for two weeks and Amazon told me today is still has not shipped. Amazon and All Spare Tools both are terrible when it comes to customer service. Find this somewhere else.
Digital accuracy for layouts:
30 years plus in custom cabinets makes me feel this unit is one of the best things to ever come along. Essential for layouts in addition to crown molding calculations. We also do custom tube bending to specified angles and this tool makes it easy. For crown molding, it allows you to change the spring angle of the installation for difficult ceiling situations....pretty amazing.
Great Product:
I got this after I got tired of trying to read the scale and is that 44.5 degrees or 44.2...the angles are exactly right with the bosch. I would recommend this to anybody doing a crown molding project, it will save you multiple trips back to the miter saw.
