Professional chefs have long sung the praises of the KitchenAid stand mixer. Now, KitchenAid has designed a product specifically for the home baker with this five-speed hand mixer. Very portable, this mixer allows you to roam the kitchen and mix at will. Its powerful yet lightweight motor maintains consistent beater speed even in heavy mixtures and won't bog down. The mixer comes with traditional beaters and also dough hooks for raised yeast doughs--simply change attachments to mix heavy bread doughs and delicate whites all with the same machine. Designed with nonclogging air vents, the mixer is easy to clean because smooth, sleek surfaces have no seams or grooves that trap ingredients. This mixer also comes with a one-year warranty. --Linda Dahlstrom

Powerfull Mixer:
I decided to make some bread, and used my sister's old mixer to mix it up. Unfortunately, it burned the motor out. Well thanks to Amazon, and overnight shipping, I avoided having to deal with her. This one went through the dough like butter, so it is a much higher torque/HP motor. Unfortunately we do not have enough counter space to get a bowl mixer, but this is the next best thing.
Stands up to even the thickest cookie doughs:
I bought my first one in 1995, after burning out several other name brand hand mixers. It worked great until I dropped it yesterday- then it just quit. I went out and bought the identical model can't wait to try the dough attachment.
more power:
lots more power then other hand mixers i've owned, but the speed isn't there if you need that.. had it about a year now, and it's plowed through everything i've asked it to without any smell of the motor cooking. 2 thumbs up. waaaaaaaay up
small but powerful:
I've really appreciated how well this hand mixer handles heavy cookie dough. It does the job as well as my KitchenAid stand mixer, and is much easier to take out, use, clean and put away.
