Pole Barn Construction:

This nailer is the cats meow! We have driven at least 1000 pcs heat treated 5.5" ringed pole barn spikes with very little effort. All were driven in native timber. Oak, Poplar, Maple, and seasoned Beech were used in the construction. We have had lumber so hard the nails would bend over. This is a very serious tool for the serious builder. It will even drive thru .060 stainless. Although we have worn this driver out we are ordering a second one. They are that good!!!! A very very good tool for the serious... more info

Makita nail driver:

I've had the nail driver for over a week now, we are putting up a 40x 64 pole barn, we are using 5" and 3' pole barn nails, and the nail driver works great. The nailer is light, lighter than my 20 oz framing hammer. The nails we are using are galvinized,when using our framing hammer one out of seven nails would bend, when we switched to the nail driver I have yet to bend a nail. Great nailer:

I've always wondered if someone would come out with a tool such as this one. I knew that there were palm nailers, but this really does the trick when you want to get down and dirty. It is easier to grip, and the rubber on the handle is very comfortable. It has a depth adjustment with six different settings, which works better than simply adjusting the psi on your compressor. Overall, this is a great unit.
