This tool works really well in planing down concrete. We stain a lot of concrete, and sometimes, especially around floor plugs, the finisher will leave it real rough. This planes it down to be quite smooth, and in nothing flat (pun intended). (The only downside, of course, is that it will expose the sand and aggregate, which won't take the color the same - this needs to be explained to the customer first).
