Editorial Review:

This lightweight (9-pound), 205-watt machine keeps hard floors spiffy in a myriad of ways. Snap scrub brushes onto its two power shafts and it scours them clean. (A wraparound splashguard protects baseboards.) With pads, it will wax, buff, and polish those same floors. For floors that can't be cleaned with water, the machine can still be used for buffing. It's 43 inches high, has a handle hole for hanging in a closet, and assembles with a single nut and bolt (which are included). An accompanying booklet provides instructions for cleaning and polishing various hard floors by using different materials and methods. Hoover warrants the machine against defects for one year. --Fred Brack

Great:

I have owned this product for several years. I also own a Rug shampooer/steam cleaner. When cleaning the rug, if there are stain spots that the shampooer can't get out I just pull out this unit, spray or spot some of the cleaning fluid onto the spot, and put the "FloorMax" to work. When I am finished the spot has disappeared.

This is an extremely badly made product that works only 3-5X:

The Hoover Company should close their doors as this is not the first piece of junk I have purchased from them. Here is my opinion about the F2300 Floor Polisher---- It worked 5 times. Then one buffer did not turn. I took it apart and there is no belt, but PLASTIC GEARS. The PLASTIC GEARS/ a blue one and a white one/ were already worn down so that the buffers would not turn, even though the motor still worked. This is a piece of junk that is no better than Hoover's floor scrubber that only worked once for... more info

Joan's Floor Max:

I need the sheep skin type buffers to use for polishing my floors. They were not included in my package plus the things to attach them to the brushes

Not well made:

I bought this item and the first time I used it the housing that holds the motor, broke. This happened when I touched the edge of a carpet. My old floor buffer would bounce away if something like that happened, not break. Hoover requested that I drive it to a service center miles away from me. I didn't do that because of the distance and location of the center. I wouldn't recommend a Hoover.
