Hoover's Dubl-Duty S1117 handheld vacuum makes cleanup a breeze. It's easy to use to pick up both dry messes and liquid spills all over the house and has no restraining cord, so it reaches every corner without any hassle. The fingertip on/off switch means it's ready to go quickly, and the handy wall-mounted recharging rack keeps it always at full power and always out of the way when not in use. The vacuum's E-Z Empty dirt cup provides a nice-sized receptacle for both dry and wet pickups, and the machine's filter is reusable and washable. It comes with a crevice tool and a squeegee.

Saved me:
Since we have a dog, and got her as a pup, this product has saved the carpet sooooooo many times. I would not be with out it. One of my better purchases
Dattery Dies:
This vac worked fine for about a year and then the battery went dead. Now it will only work for a max of 5 seconds. Not a good investment.
Just doesn't last:
As others have mentioned, the battery life on this unit just dies after a year. It did do an OK job for the first few months, but ultimatly becomes a "bad investment". If you purchase this unit, you will find yourself shopping for another vac in a year.
Can't hold a charge:
Performance was OK overall, but after one year of light use, it does not hold a charge for long. It currently only holds enough energy after a full charge to work for 5 seconds at full power. There is no possibility of replacing the battery, despite the rest of the system working fine. My next one will certainly not be a Hoover.
