The anticlogging valve pulls out of the handle so it can be soaked in vinegar or lemon juice, and so water and impurities can be shaken through the soleplate. For safety, the iron shuts off in 30 seconds if left horizontal or tipped over and in 8 minutes if left vertical. It has a large (7-ounce), transparent water tank; vertical steam for removing wrinkles in curtains and hanging garments; a variable-steam control and a temperature-control dial for making fine adjustments; and both a misting spray and a steam burst for dealing with stubborn wrinkles and creating sharp creases.
