This full-size, 1,400-watt iron is great for household ironing--it has a slick, tough, scratch-resistant soleplate, which provides a smooth glide, and an anticlogging valve to combat mineral buildup. The valve pulls out of the handle so you can soak it in vinegar or lemon juice and so you can shake water and impurities through the soleplate. For safety, the iron shuts off in 30 seconds if left horizontal or tipped over, and in eight minutes if left vertical. The T-Fal 1656 has a large (7-ounce) transparent water tank. A variable-steam control and a temperature-control dial allow you to make fine adjustments, and both a misting spray and a steam burst work on stubborn wrinkles and help create sharp creases. lives up to its expectations:
My previous iron was an old one that didn't have any auto shut-off features. I got burned by that (no pun intended!) when last year there was an incident where we left it on for 2 whole days! After that, I promised myself I'd buy a new iron with auto shut-off features and in my search, I decided to buy this one. Of course, the first things I tested were the 30 second and the 8 minute shut-off features and they both work perfectly! Ironing is also a breeze. Awesome Iron:
I hate buying new irons but when it came time to purchase one, I bought this iron. It heats up super fast and steams great. The iron literally glides across your clothes. I would definitely recommend this iron to anyone.
the only iron you'll need:
This one does anything an average person would need. It has every feature you need, and it's ergonomical and easy to store. There's also a little cup included that makes filling the iron up with water so easy! I don't have a single complaint about it, and the price is just about right.
