Features: - Lifetime Warranty
- 12-inch room fan with "vortex" design
- Sturdy all-plastic construction
- 42-inch pedestal
Editorial Review:
Vornado's small (12-inch diameter), quiet fan is designed to provide big output. The 42-inch pedestal it sits on makes it possible to hide the unit behind furniture while still directing air circulation efficiently. As the manufacturer points out, this fan isn't just for cooling: proper air circulation can save money on winter heating bills as well as summer cooling bills by beating air stratification. The plastic material is surprisingly sturdy and substantial. Note that "whitestone" probably translates as "pale tan" to most people. The cover removes easily for cleaning. --Richard Farr

I don't know what the previous reviewer's problem was, but if it took me 3 minutes to assemble this fan, I'd be surprised. That was after I had already lost the instructions, and I am notoriously ham handed when it comes to figuring out things mechanical. There is only one way to put it together. Having said that, make sure you are aware that this is a fairly small fan, and that the pedestal is fairly short, and doesn't adjust. It is cheaply made from molded plastic. No metal fram here. If that's what... more info
Disappointing:
I've been a big fan (no pun intended) of Vornado air circulators. I own a couple of different models but this is the first time I'm not happy with the product. Although there's only a few parts to assemble, putting it together took a lot of effort because of poor design. Getting the parts to fit was so much harder than it should ever be. Secondly, when the fan is tilted at certain angles you can hear the blades slightly rubbing against the inside of the fan. Do yourself a favor, don't buy this model.
