The Porter-Cable 6-Inch Polishing Pad improves the performance of the 7424 Polisher. Over time, the pad on a polisher wears from normal use, decreasing its performance. To keep your polisher running at its peak, replace the pad when it becomes worn. It mounts easily using the built in mounting thread. This polishing pad comes with Porter-Cable's 1-year limited warranty.

Falls apart during first use:

Fell apart first use. Not recommended. The 7424 is awesome. Pad is terrible.

Great Orbital Pad:

Though I've only used these for waxing so far, I really like them. Makes for a quick and even application that saves your arms as well as your time. One time towards the end of a large vehicle, the wax seemed to retreat out of the pad all of a sudden, giving me more and more wax without any application. If the pad gets too saturated, probably a good idea to switch before it sprays you.

Long lasting:

Probably used this pad two dozen times over last three years (Explorer, Bonneville and minivan)I see no sign of wear. Wash between/before use - still original pad that came with my 7424 polisher.

Great swirl free shine:

I used this polishing pad for the first time this weekend. I waxed both a Suburban and a large enclosed motorcycle trailer. The pad worked very well and produced a swirl free shine. I washed the pad after both applications. I noticed after the second washing that the glue seemed to be affected by the process. The pad is not ready to fall of but, it will surely not last for several uses. Over though,... I lke them and I will continue to buy them even at $12 a pop.
