Editorial Review:
With a host of useful attachments, this slender wand takes the place of bulkier appliances. Its mobility allows you to go to the stove to blend a soup or whip potatoes, as needed. Chop onions in the food processing cup, or beat egg whites for a soufflE.
Equipped with an exceptionally powerful 280-watt motor, this versatile appliance is a combination hand mixer and hand blender. For mixing, beating, and whipping, there are two cunningly designed beaters that produce volume while reducing splashing. For kneading, there's a strong dough hook, and for blending, there's an attachment that can be used in the accompanying 2-cup container (or any container) for small jobs like salad dressings. For chopping, the power unit attaches to another container with its own blades to make quick work of nuts, onions, hard cheeses, herbs, garlic, and meats. (The container's base serves as a snap-on plastic lid for storage.) The mixer/blender has three speeds and a power-pulse button for working through tough jobs. It stands upright on a nonskid base, and its power cord pivots to stay out of the way or can be locked in place. This appliance carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Multimix:
This mixer works very well. I can't afford a big counter top model and this one fits in with my kitchen and cooking needs perfectly. It's easily stored in my cabinets and its easy to clean. This little tool is well worth the purchase.
I LOVE THIS THING!!!:
Ok I read the reviews on this mixer and I saw a majority of people loved it, and the others had negative things to say. Needless to say, the negative people were WAY OFF BASE! This mixer rocks! I love the hand wand attachment and the beaters (my grandmomma is southern, always said beaters lol) are just as good. Power wise this thing has a little too much BUT I LOVE THAT!!! It totally started splashing up against the bowl letting me know that it could handle any mix I threw at it. And I have variety let me... more info
Workhorse:
I do not have this new model, but rather an older version. I can honestly say this hand mixer has been a workhorse in my kitchen for over 13 years. I have a larger Kitchen-Aid stand mixer which is great for big jobs, but on small jobs and chopping, nothing beats this mixer. In addition to heavy use of the mixer attachment, I find the chopping attachment particularly useful for everything from salsa to salad dressing to cutting vegetables. Again, I don't think mine is the M880 (if it is, it is a MUCH earlier... more info
versatile and powerful:
this is the best purchase i have ever made in my entire life! i love cooking, and i couldn't make so many of my favorite dishes without my mixer. pros - -this little mixer does it all! i haven't used the dough hooks yet, but the beaters are great for beating egg whites or mixing batters (i use them every weekend to make homemade pancakes for my boyfriend), the chopper made quick work of some veggies for a homemade salsa, and the blender makes perfect consistency smoothies and soups.
