Have several different glasses from this collection. Great style, easy to maintain (no dishwasher for these) and are more sturdy than they look. Can't wait to complete the whole set!
Riedels Have A Profound effect on wine!:
Store your Waterford or Baccarat crystal wineglasses, or leave them in your china cabinet for "show" only. You won't want to use them again (unless you are having a generic table wine). Over a year ago, I began collecting four styles of the Riedel Vinum Extreme stems, the Riedel Sommelier White Burgundy, and the Sommelier Mature Bordeaux stems. Big, gorgeous, sturdy wine glasses of superior Austrian crystal -- with enough dramatically elegant style to give them a delicate beauty.
Oh, and the wide openings diffuse enough of the cheap oak Napa Chardonnay vintners use, to make a so-so wine taste like something better.
Why only four stars for such quality stemware? Because I'm just not much of a white wine drinker. But I sure like having these on hand for dinner guests.
