The set comes with a 7-quart bowl, a paddle attachment for the mixer, and two different screens, which offer a choice between coarsely or finely strained fruits and vegetables. The coarse screen s rough side is useful for removing fibers from cooked vegetables, such as kale or rhubarb, and for pureeing; its smooth side is ideal for straining cooked fruits, such as plums. Simple, Works, Easy Clean-up:
I've used other motorized strainers and different styles of hand-crank models, with varying results for my main two items applesauce and tomato sauce. I've had this one for a month and have used it to make tomato sauce, apple sauce, and grape jam. Not only are the two different sized screens nice, the textured side is a nice addition to straining. Oh did I mention easy cleanup? Hand cranks and some motorized strainers had lots of parts, grooves and other odd pieces to clean properly and easily. This model... more info

The DeLonghi A930 hasn't got the depth, width, or strain to hole size ratio of the KitchenAid StrainMaster 2003, but it comes a very close second, and at this kind of price, you're not really going to know the difference. I strained pasta, I strained green beans, I strained broccoli, hell, I even strained my wrist pulling the damn thing out of the box, but it still gave me maximum performance time after time after time.
