Here's a benchtop tool that packs the power of the big boys. With 6 inches from bit center to column, you can drill with ease into the center of a foot-wide board with a 3-1/4-inch stroke and a chuck jaw capacity of 1/2 inch. The cast-iron table tilts left and right to 90 degrees with a positive stop at 0, and offers variable-speed control at the turn of a dial. Changing speeds is as simple as turning the knob, allowing you to drill at 500 rpm up to 3,100 rpm. Have some repetitive drilling to do? The adjustable-position locking depth stop takes the trouble out of the job. Rack-and-pinion table depth adjustment makes raising and lowering the table no work at all, and here's a nice bonus--a built-in gooseneck lamp. When you're done drilling, just pop out the removable safety switch to prevent unauthorized use. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Short life span:
After drilling about 300 holes in wood, the drill press started making a grinding noise and vibrating excessively. When I took it to the repair shop the technician told me it was probably the bearings. He commented that Delta uses cheap bearings made in China and they fail at a high rate. That was about a month ago. The repair shop had to send the press back to Delta and I haven't heard a word from anyone since. While the press was working I was happy with it, except I would like a little more power... more info
Delta DP350 Shopmaster Drill press:
I have had and used this drill press for about 2 years. I find the variable speed to be easy to use and why did'nt i have this drill press sooner, it would have been nice to have when building my street rod.
It drills very accurately, excellent when you use tap drills, for threading stock. I have been doing machine work for 40 years, both as a hobby and on the job, this drill press is worth the $$$$$
Delta DP350 Drill Press:
The drill press is a good product but beware of the shipping and packaging. The box arrived damaged and in very poor condition. Luckily the parts that fell out were in my yard and I found them.
Excellent drill press:
Initially, my first drill press was delivered and was handled poorly by deliverer. Things were missing. However, Amazon, sent me another one and it arrived perfectly. Once set up, nice instructions really helped, this drill press is perfect. I have not come across the negatives other customers have left. Amazon, really takes care of its customers!!!! Superior service!!!
