This steam generator can be adjusted to produce more humidity for cottons or drier steam for pressing dry-clean-only items.
To add water, unscrew the knob on top of the generator and pour in the desired amount using the included funnel. Able to hold enough water for two hours of continuous ironing, the stainless-steel generator heats up the water and sends it through the industrial-strength hose to the iron's soleplate. The power and penetration of the steam means that no arm pressure is needed to smooth out wrinkles. In addition, the steam shortens ironing time significantly and presses clothes as well as a drycleaner. The iron works at any angle so it can double as a garment steamer to eliminate wrinkles in curtains or hanging garments.
The iron has a durable, professional-quality soleplate for longevity, which rests on the steam generator's non-burn pad when not in use. Its steam button can be locked for continuous steam or pressed to send short blasts of steam for hanging clothes. The unit features separate power switches and ready lights for the iron and steam generator. Euro Pro Steam Generator:
Very satisfied. When the first product quit working after 10 months, the manufacturer sent me a new one. I have been using it frequently for 2 years with no problems. I will definitely buy another like it when this one wears out.
Terrible product, Terrible Customer Service, Fire Hazard:
We are an adult family of two. We purchased this iron in 9/03, in 9/06 it started to flame at the point where the steam cord exits the iron handle. It is a dangerous product with no customer support from Euro Pro-- don't buy it!
Euro Pro Iron:
This is the best iron ever. I simply love the extra steam and the way it speeds up my ironing time.
Safety/Filler Cap:
Like other owners of this product I am very pleased with the ironing capabilities. There are only two issues that I have with this product. The first, and of course major, concern is the heat of this iron. Placing the iron on its rest has caused severe damage & melting of the rest. Luckily no fire was accompanied. The second issue that I have is the Safety/Filler Cap. The gasket, on the cap, seems to wear out quickly. I have replaced the cap twice already but it still keeps leaking.
