Clear sub-bases:
Milwaukee also makes clear 6-inch sub-bases for the 5615/5616 routers: - Part number 49-54-1027 has a 1-3/16-inch center hole. - Part number 49-54-1028 has a 2-1/2-inch center hole. Just one problem:
I ordered this so as to do some template work with my Milwaukee 5616-24 router. It is beautifully machined and fits perfectly. The package even includes spare screws and a torx bit. very nice of them to include all that. But it's not clear arcylic. That makes it a little bit difficult to use for some operations - such as with a dovetail jig. It if were clear plastic it would get five stars. As it is I think I have to get a new one. If you don't need a clear one then it is a fine piece of equipment.

A template guide is inserted into the base, which is designed to receive a guide -- a template guide screw-ring holds the guide in place. The sub-base is constructed using the same material as the standard base, and it fits the router perfectly.... more info
