Awesome tiller:

It is loud but does a great job. The only way to improve this tiller would be to get a 4 cycle engine and tines like the mantis has. I've worked this baby hard and put her away wet and she keeps diggin in for more.

Great Cultivator for small gardens:

I have used the Ryobi 410r for the past three seassons with no trouble. You have to make more passes then a big tiller but you don.t get bucked around neither. I use it in the Spring to break the soil and then use it during the season for weeding. It works great. I reccommend this tiller/cultivator for anyone who has a backyard garden that is 20 by 20 or smaller. I just pick it up and walk where ever I need to go and work in the yard.

Great when working, but broke easily:

This was a great machine the first time we used it, but it broke the second time out. It ran for awhile, then the second time out, it wouldn't restart. We have the same issue as one of the other reviewers where Amazon won't take it back, and are unsure on how to approach repair. It may have been better to purchase from a store..at least we would have had the option of just returning it. Now we're stuck with a broken tiller and a yard needing to be tilled..:(

Bad Buy:

I bought the Ryobi for my Mother In-law as a Christmas gift. It will not start and has been at a repair shop for two weeks. Because it came from Amazon and not a dealer, the warranty may not apply...if and when it can be fixed.
