FINALLY a good quality cover that fits!!!:
I've been looking for a long time for a ironing board cover replacement to fit my great Lady Seymour ironing board. NOBODY carries the right size. Bed & Bath (where I bought my ironing board) carried replacements for several years, but then discontinued them. The closest I've found anywhere is by googling, where I found someone who made custom made covers & they wanted $60 for one! This is the nicest cover I've ever had for my board. fits well, stays in place, aesthetically neutral:
I looked all over locally for a plain muslin ironing board cover, with no luck. This does the trick. It fits well, stays put on the board, has adequate padding, holds up well to heat. I love this pad -- and no prints of kitties and bunnies and flowers, as had every other pad I'd found. I'd never have anything like that in my house; I'd find it depressing. Every time I use this, it makes me happy. Isn't that what we want from the simple, useful things we own?
Good-but could be better:
It is a good strong pad and cover. Fits the ironing board well, but does not have straps to keep the sides nice and tight. I bought and used matteras elastic straps to tighten the sides.
