Extended Heel on Soleplate means less snags. 1400 W of power. Linear thermostat control. Pilot light. Green color tank. This deluxe Ultraglide iron makes ironing a little less tedious and a little more fun. The scratch-resistant, non-stick Ultraglide Diffusion soleplate glides smoothly over clothes so ironing goes faster and requires less pressure. Tiny holes in the soleplate disperse steam evenly, making it easier to remove wrinkles. A sliding lever in front of the iron's handle lets you adjust the amount of steam. For tough wrinkles, a burst of steam button delivers a steady spray of water; the steam burst also works vertically on hanging garments and curtains. A spray nozzle on the front of the iron sends a cool mist directly in front of the area being ironed for additional help with wrinkle removal. The 250-milliliter water reservoir is a transparent turquoise plastic, allowing you to view how much water is left. A slide-out drawer on the iron's handle speeds up refilling and ensures that water won't leak out. The iron has a self-cleaning system to help flush out mineral build-up and prolong its life. For safety, the Ultraglide Diffusion iron automatically shuts off if left face down or on its side for 30 seconds, or if left propped up on its end for 8 minutes. A 9-foot cord provides plenty of maneuverability without concern about tangles. The soleplate on this iron is covered under a 10-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Very pleased with this iron. Functional, practical and no problems with it. It does not "spit" like other irons I have had in the past.
Do not buy this iron! Waste of money!:
I spent somewhere in the range of $60-$80 on this iron a few years ago, and expected to get what I paid for. Oddly, it seems that I paid for junk even though the price didn't reflect that at all. After spending what I thought was a decent amount of money on it, I've been too stubborn to go buy a new one. 1st problem
It leaks water all over, instead of just spurting steam as it should. This isn't something that happened with age: it has happened every single time I have put water in it from the... more info Temp setting:
I really like this iron, it glides very smoothly. The temp setting broke with a few weeks. I know I could have sent it in for a warranty repair, but I decide not to bother. An "OK" Iron:
When it's working this is a nice product. Reliability though is not it's strong suit. For the price we expected better quality and performance. We're on our second one now. Kind of makes me wish Whirlpool or Bunn made irons.
