Power & Performance:

This is a good tool. The motor is powerful with plenty of torque and yet well controlled with the variable speed selector. Most of the time I use the 300 rpm setting. At all speeds the machine is forgiving. The handles are well designed and allow a good range of grips. Some reviewers have commented negatively on the handles. Seems to be a non-issue for me. Especially nice if you are ambidextrous. I have worked with the tool for periods of 2 to 3 hours without fatigue. I have owned Makita tools for over 25... more info

Great tool:

Just as described which is just what I needed. I changed it to a 4" driver pad for polishing stone. It worked great. I like the variable speed which is hard to find on a tool. Can't wait to use it to get the scratches out of my car.

This is a nice hatchet to use for chopping chicken necks for your trot line. Light weight, straight edge.
