Mine has been in use for nearly 10 years. Bought on a recommendation, I had my doubts, as the plastic felt flimsy and the worm looked too thin. I was certain it would break or pull through corks. Instead, it has turned out to be the best corkscrew I've ever used! Awesome and so easy to use!:

It took a couple bottles of wine to get the hang of it but I love this thing! It's lightweight, compact, and even though it seems too lightweight and not sturdy enough to handle the job, it does with ease. I never bother cutting the foil and this thing breaks the foil and pulls the cork out with no problem. The plastic is tough and I've been using it for several months now with no problems. I opened the package without looking at the instructions. I had no idea what to do at first. This is different from the standard corkscrew I'm used to but I'm a manly man and I don't need no stinking instructions ( I said to myself in a growling Spanish accent).
