Friodor ice-hardening process strengthens blade and prevents staining
Ergonomically designed 18/10 stainless-steel handle
Editorial Review:
One of the most versatile knives in your kitchen, this 7-in. Hollow Edge Santoku knife is used for slicing, mincing and chopping. In Japanese, its name means "Three Benefits" and you'll find at least that many uses for this popular knife. It's from Henckels Twin Select line, combining a professional level of blade sharpness with an updated and sleek stainless ergonomic handle. Made of 18/10 stainless, the slightly curved handle adds comfort to your kitchen performance.
Lighter than a cleaver yet heavier than a chef's knife, Henckels 7-inch santoku knife finds the perfect balance between the two. This all-purpose tool comfortably meets any day-to-day kitchen cutting need--hearty enough to handle chicken bones, yet slightly curved and sharp enough to rapidly chop vegetables or mince garlic. The cutting edge features a series of small, oval-shaped grooves designed to trap air during use and prevent food from adhering to its sides. Precision forged in Germany by renowned knife manufacturer Henckels, the blade features high-carbon steel construction. A unique Friodor ice-hardening process further strengthens the cutting piece and prevents staining. Fitting the hand comfortably, the 18/10 steel handle creates a cohesive look. Measuring 12-3/4 inches by 1-3/4 inches by 3/4 inches overall, this knife comes with a lifetime warranty and is dishwasher-safe. Regular sharpening will maintain excellent performance for years and years. -- Amy Arnold

What a great knife!:
I particularly like that this knife series is completely metal from tip to end. The heft of the piece makes chopping and slicing very easy, just letting the weight of the knife do the work. There's a nice balance point towards the front of the handle and the ergonomic handle is shaped in such a way that it still feels natural to place your fingers on the back of the blade for chopping duties. Very nice!
