This blade produces a fine finish when crosscutting in exotic hardwoods, softwoods, and mouldings. The larger blades are ideal for miter box applications. Thin kerf blades remove less material than standard carbide blades, thus requiring less horsepower to produce equally good results. Freud blade:

Very nice blade with very little tear out on the back side of the wood.

Outstanding crosscut blade!:

I use strictly Forrest & Freud saw blades (Forrest WWII on my table saw & the Freud 80-tooth on my miter saw; latter replaced an older Freud blade, 60-tooth). This blade was highly recommended to me on a WW forum (Woodnet) by a number of members, including one who works for Freud (obviously a bias but a wealth of knowledge & detail as to 'why' this is almost a 'perfect' miter blade). The blade has functioned flawlessly and leaves cuts w/ little if any tearout - edges really require no 'touch up'... more info
