Honestly impressed:
We have had this blender for over 2 years and use it every day. We have never had any problems until recently when the jar started to wear out and leak from the bottom. I called Kitchen Aid customer service and really didn't have any hope of getting it replaced since it was outside the 2 year warranty. They replaced it anyway, free of charge! I have to say, I am impressed with the quality of this product and also with the customer service for Kitchen Aid.
Design Flaw in KitchenAid Blender Jar:
I purchased this upscale KitchenAid because I had assumed that it was better made than lower priced commonly available models and did not anticipate warranty problems. I purchased it in December 2006 from Lowe's. We rarely used it but I started using it recently for SlimFast diet mixes and almost immediately had a leakage problem in the jar base. Amazing Blender:
This blender ROCKS! I have been using it for 6 months now and it has chewed through everything I have put in it. Smoothies, energy shakes,and milk shakes are blended perfectly. It crushes a full load of ice with ease. Strong motor just keeps cranking the sharp blades no matter what I throw at it.
