Beware of misleading product "feature" description:

I purchased the Dyson Mini Turbine Tool for my Dyson DC18, relying on the Amazon.com "Product Feature" which read at the time of my purchase (and still reads), "Conveniently attaches to any Dyson vacuum cleaner." Not so for the DC18 and the DC16. They are the exceptions stated in the fine print on the Dyson product label. Cheaper to just buy a hand vac!:

This thing is worthless! The brush was hardly spinning on our medium-pile carpet - and the suction is dramatically reduced. On the plus side, our ferrets had some fascination with it and kept running away with it and hiding it under the couch.
You're much better off spending LESS money and buying one of the below units, all of which have great reviews and spinning brushes - and you won't have to deal with the awkward hose either:

Dyson Mini Turbine Tool:

Used on stairs and firm hard to get at places this tool is a knockout. I could not believe the amount of material it picked up.I have seen some of the negative comments and conclude the users are the problem by way of application or understanding how the tool works. Having said this the price is too high for this and all Dyson add ons given that the cleaner is a major investment in itself.

Mini Turbine - Awesome:

This is an awesome attachment for your Dyson. We have a chair our cats like to sit on and gets full of hair. This tool removed all the hair some even imbedded in the material. Some mentioned have problems with it but if it's used correctly it worked perfectly.
