Generously oversized, this hand-painted Villa della Luna sugar bowl and creamer set brings to life the vivid colors and historical designs of centuries-old Italian ceramics. Both pieces feature a wide azure blue band adorned with a scrolling leaf design and bordered by thin bands of salmon red. Earthy yellow brightens the bases, rope-like creamer handle, and sugar bowl lid filial. Introduced by Pfaltzgraff in 2004, Villa della Luna is inspired by scenes from the captivating book, Dancing with the Moon: A Story of Love at the Villa della Luna. The book is the sequel to The Secrets of Pistoulet: An Enchanted Fable of Food, Magic, and Love, set in southern France, the inspiration for Pfaltzgraff's Pistoulet dinnerware line. So Pretty and Elegant!:
These are just as pretty and elegant as the pictures show. They go beautifully with my whole Villa della Luna set. The plates and bowls were recalled for possible lead on the large set, so check that out. Amazon notified me though and I was grateful for that notification although Pfaltzgraff was too busy to talk to me at the time and I missed their return call. Consequently, I've yet to resolve this with them. I think this product should be perfectly safe though because there is no paint in the inside.

Beautiful Tableware:
I have a complete set for twelve, so the Covered Sugar Bowl and Creamer were a natural selection. Pfaltzgraff's Villa della Luna is a beautiful pattern. I would encourage anyone who would like to have something beautiful and very different to consider this pattern.
