The Dyson DC14 vacuum offers strong suction, durable construction, and the best innovative solutions to common vacuuming situations. Dyson's 'Root Cyclone' maintains powerful constant suction. It's suction is channelled right to the edges of the cleaner head, unlike many uprights. Its specially-designed whiskers, angled to reach down between the skirting board and the floor, flick the dust from the edge into the airflow. For copacetic cleaning, Dyson's offers the best. The pre-motor filter removes particles down to 0.1 micron and is washable / The post-motor electrostatic filter traps harmful carbon emissions from the motor. This filter never needs replacing. The intake nozzles of the DC14 tools direct high velocity airflow down into the carpet pile. This has two main advantages -
*You pick up more because the directional force of the air agitates and dislodges dust
*The airflow is continuous even when vacuuming curtains or upholstery preventing them from becoming stuck to the cleaner

Powerful:
This vacuum has a lot of power ! very good for hard floors.
A little heavy but you get use to it.
My house lasts clean longer now.
I love it.
I regret not getting the Animal.
I can't believe I actually paid this much for a vacuum:
Vacuuming is the chore I hate most, even more than cleaning the litter box. The Hoover died on Christmas Eve right after finishing the living room and hall. I hated it so much that I wasn't willing to spend the money to have it repaired so I started reading reviews. The only reason that I finally bit the bullet and went for the Dyson was that Walmart had it for $399 with a $100 Walmart gift card when you bought it. That seemed like the best deal I was ever likely to see so the Dyson 14 joined the... more info
Best thing that happen to carpets:
I've had the Bissell for about a year and the band broke. I bought a cheap Eureka model, and realized I got what I paid for.
I've been looking at Dyson for a couple of years now and thought, who in the blue h e ll would buy a 400 dollar vacuum?!
Besides me that is. That old saying, you get what you paid for couldn't be more true. This thing is worth every penny and more. I like the fact that has a 5 year warranty, parts/labor. The job it does is amazing. Buy the DC 14 Animal if you have pets,... more info
Expensive plastic junk, poorly designed:
We've owned our DC07 for 3 years now and the plastic piece that holds the dust bin door shut just snapped off. What gets me is that the vac came with a sample piece of plastic attached to a small chain when we bought it. Dyson bragged that their plastic was super tough. Obviously from the poor reviews you can tell that the overall construction of this is poor. Dyson doesn't sell just that one part and wanted about $100 (includes s/h) for the entire cyclone unit. No thanks. Here's what's wrong with the... more info
