The packaging arrived already opened by someone using a pair of cheap scissors. It is obvious Amazon is selling returns as new items. Don't buy this product, don't shop at Amazon.
Great product, but be aware of what you're connecting (HDCP):
This cable works flawlessly and does what it is designed to do: display the video feed from an HDMI source. Whereas HDMI contains an audio signal as well, DVI is only the video portion of the HDMI feed. This cable is all you need if you want to play high definition content on a display that only has a DVI port. (minus your audio connection) HOWEVER, BE AWARE: Your display needs to be HDCP compliant.
