Much better than a manual machine!:
Having the Kitchenaid do all the cranking is great - and the Spaghetti maker actually makes ROUND spaghetti, not just tagliatini type little flat noodles. NOTE for those that say the attachments turn and go around, read the instructions. YOU HAVE to insert if far enough into the mixer so that the little pin on the pasta maker fits into the notch near the tightening screw. IF you don't do that, it will go around and around. For regular pasta, this set is a dream. The ravioli maker, though, is a total piece of junk. Different friends and I have attempted to make ravioli with it on four different occasions. It shreds the dough and wastes all the fillings. After I bought it, I went back to read the reviews and there were dozens of reviews attesting to the same problem, not a positive review among them for the ravioli maker.
