Great for using your own headphones on airplanes:

Very simple product and it works like a charm...definitely better to use your own headphones instead of the ones the airlines provide.

Nearly obsolete these days, but practical nevertheless...:

If you are ever on one of the older airplanes with this kind of plug and have your own headphones this will come in very handy. Airline headphones are always cheap crap and hurt your ears more then they help, so I always carry my own noise isolating headphones with me...

Do they work in Lufthansa or KLM:

I am going to take a 20 hour flight. I am planning to buy an adapter but I am wondering if anybody tried them on Lufthansa since the lufthansa as I heard from someone is three-prong holes.
