Editorial Review:
Different but still traditional, Le Creuset stoneware ramekins come in a set of 2, each 2-1/4" tall with 3 horizontal ridges. They easier to transport, and easier to keep clean, with a smooth stoneware interior that flares slightly at the top to offer a larger surface area for that coveted caramelized sugar. Kiwi is the newest, brightest addition to the Le Creuset line, fabulous in a ramekins made with virtually non-porous stoneware fired at 2156 degrees F to create unmatched strength and durability. It's also resistant to scratches, chips, cracking and staining. The enameled surface makes it easy to clean, and it won't absorb odors, flavors or moisture. Le Creuset stoneware goes from refrigerator and freezer to the oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Ramekins are so versatile, great for desserts, condiments, and dips, also practical for a kitchen catch-all. Set of 2.
These pretty little ramekins are a bit different in style than the traditional vertically rippled cups that look like miniature souffle dishes. The tall, smooth sides are only interrupted by three horizontal ridges--it's a clean look, and actually makes them more practical. They're easier to grab from under the hot broiler and also easier to scrub clean after use--no more caramelized sugar trapped in the ripples! The smooth interior flares just slightly at the top to provide a broader surface area for that tasty top layer. Each ramekin holds up to 8 ounces when filled to the very brim, and goes easily from freezer to oven or microwave--terrific for make-ahead fruit crisps or cobblers. This two-pack is great for replenishing a broken set or as a stand-alone set for a couple. --Jill Lightner

LeCreuset Ramekins:
The ramekins arrived in good shape and a timely manner. Can't go wrong with LeCreuset.
elegant ramekins:
i liked these so much i just ordered 2 more sets. not only do they coordinate perfectly with the other red cast iron pieces, they are super sturdy. i'm really impressed with the quality of their pottery, even if it is made outside of france. this is a great size. i use them for serving baked beans and other sides, ice cream, salsa, lime wedges etc. i bought some more so i could use them for sides for guests and creme brulee. they're so pretty i don't even use them for prepping ingredients, i use my... more info
Kitchen Necessity:
I never knew how much I needed these ramekins until I received two as a wedding gift. Now I need more. I haven't even made any fancy desserts in them, but they have served so many other purposes. I've used them to hold tartar sauce when serving fish & chips, parmesan cheese when serving lasagne, and currently one of them is holding a batch of herb butter in the fridge. These ramekins look so beautiful at the table. I'm sure I'll come around to making some kind of quiche or dessert like creme brulee... more info
great! perfect size for everything:
This set is so versatile. I bought these because I own the red Le Creuset cookware and they matched them. I thought that I would never use them and they would collect dust in the cupboard, but the longer I own them the more uses I find for them! Great for appetizer containers, for making mini casseroles (or quiches), creme brulee, serving soup, I've even baked mini bread loaves in them! The only recommendation I have is to buy two sets--I usually end up using four at a time instead of two.
