Made out of sturdy Melamine, this 12-piece dinnerware set safely serves meals out on the patio or deck without concern of breakage. The set includes four 11-inch dinner plates, four 9-1/2-inch salad plates, and four 5-3/4-inch deep bowls, all of which are conveniently dishwasher safe on the top rack. The pattern's white bowls and dinner plates are edged with borders of forget-me-nots set on a yellow stripe. Scalloped salad plates feature a pale yellow center and are ringed with a pale green stripe and a wider blue vine-covered stripe. Pfaltzgraff dinnerware set- Summer Breeze:

Am very pleased with this everyday wear; each piece was packed extremely well. I ordered a second set.
Caution: would not recommend purchasing the matching tumbler set- there is a major flaw in the design- it does not wrap all the way around the glass. Quite odd!

Pfaltzgraff is pfantastic!:

I have the stoneware in this same pattern. I'd love to use it every day, but I have an 18-month old and my husband's not too careful either. I was suprised to see how pretty this melamine is. I actually like it better than the stoneware!

Melamine dinnerware:

This set was purchased for my husband because he prefers melamine to stoneware or china. When they arrived, I was surprised to see the quality and workmanship. Some of the pieces seem like they are not melamine. The pattern is so light and "springy" (lol, not a word I know) and just give you an "up" feeling.

Perfect for families:

Unlike the previous reviewer, I was specifically in search of a set of melamine that looked pretty. When my kids have friends over and I serve lunch, I don't want to do so on my Pfaltzgraff stoneware, so these melamine plates and bowls are a lovely addition to my collection. They match the stoneware perfectly, and could even be used to supplement my current set of Pfaltzgraff Summer Breeze Stoneware, if necessary.
