Fire Gloves:

They are Heavy Duty I bought them to tend a fire in our outdoor fireplace you can touch the burning logs with them and not get burnt but don't hold the log too long!

Good until something's really hot!:

I've been using these gloves for the good part of a year now with my indoor oven. They work fine on most things that come out of the oven, however when I use a very hot oven temperature, such as for bread baking in a cast iron dutch oven, the heat comes through. Ouch. I would not buy again. To me they are awkward as well. My daughter has the "Ov Glove" type - I really like hers much better and they will handle the extra heat. They are much more user friendly in my opinion.

Great gloves.:

Handling wood inside the wood burning stove I cannot feel heat through them. The gloves feel a little big to my hands, but I think this is because they are not broken in yet. I would have liked to see a strap on them to hang on a hook. Red design make them easy to see and find.

Just what I needed:

I bought these gloves specifically to use with my barbecue grill. They work great a keeping the heat at bay. I can even move around hot coals with no problems.
