Works well:
As a trial run, we bought a stainless steel composter and 2 filters and started to compost our kitchen scraps early Spring 2008. We changed the filter once in the summer. During the initial 6 months, there was
1. no offensive smell to humans
2. no attractive smell to bugs
In September we ordered more filters. We are happy with our composter and will continue to recycle our scraps.

go buy these from Target. they're a good replacement. made to last longer if you spray them with hot hot water, don't wring them out. drip dry.
