Editorial Review:
Reach for this big and handsome Le Creuset oval dish to cook up roasts, whole birds, and Super Bowl-size veggie casseroles. Crafted from durable stoneware, the 5-1/3-quart piece distributes and retains heat beautifully, and its handsome, nonporous enamel surface makes for easy serving and washing. Heavy-duty for years of use, the piece is impervious to lingering odors and does not stain, chip, or craze with normal wear. Its sides are comfortably deep, and the flared rim makes for confident carrying and serving.
One of the reasons Le Creuset stoneware is so popular is that it is designed for simplifying the steps from prep to cleanup. Use this dish to marinate in the fridge, bake in the oven, reheat in the microwave, and store in the freezer--everything but cook on the stovetop. Measuring 10-3/4 by 15 inches, the baker comes in several lively colors with contrasting neutral interiors. Coordinating Le Creuset ramekins, loaf pans, and pie plates are also available. --Emily Bedard

If I get it next time I order it (and it seems like a great dish for a... more info

Le Creuset 5.3 Quart Oval Dish:
What can I say...it's a Le Creuset! I bought this for my friend and she absoluetly loved it. She said she is going to make something in it and bring it to a potluck. It looks like $100.00 pan.
Love it!:
I have three Le Creuset cast iron "ovens" of various sizes, but this is my first "covered" stoneware piece. I know my large family will be eating many meals baked in this dish. It was large enough to cram two large chickens into it, and they came out extremely tender and not dried out. Delicious. I also anticipate using this for potlucks, since it can hold a lot of food, yet still looks great on the table. Because the top is raised, it actually holds more than a similar-sized dutch oven. I couldn't have... more info
