Follow Rules and it's Wonderful:
Don't walk away from the stove with this saucepan. Keep it at Medium heat or lower and everything heats beautifully and quickly and cleaning pan as directed works wonderfully. Keeps the shiny, new appearance. I walked away and went to my computer and burned the soup. Whoops. I was able to clean it well after a few separate soakings, however, and learned my lesson. I have no intention of ever putting it in the dishwasher as I want to keep the new appearance.
Great value for the performance:
I purchased this smaller saucepan to "try" the product line. The lid stays put and does not allow moisture to spatter all over like my older cookware. The base is heavy and retains heat well. It's dishwasher safe--though I usually wash by hand so it's not in the washer when I need it again!
Better than All-Clad, and here's why:
I'm a self-confessed cookware junkie and professionally-trained home chef. I have at least 60 or so different pots and pans, and actually use most of them regularly. I've been biased toward Calphalon Anodized (not non-stick) for nearly 20 years, and still love the line. I got into Calphalon Tri-Ply, which is superb, but thought I'd try this pan to see if the value was there. IMHO, Calphalon Tri-Ply, Cuisinart Multiclad, and KitchenAid Clad all have far surpassed All-Clad for various reasons. Basically,... more info
Couldn't Be Happier !!:
This product is exactly what we have been searching for. Heavy Duty, Easy to clean,Comfortable Handles and Tight fitting lids. As with all Stainless Steel you must adjust you cooking method to a lower heat setting. As long as you keep that in mind you will love this cookware.As a matter of fact we loved it so much that we purchased every single piece of Multiclad Pro Stainless that Cuisinart makes. WE JUST LOVE IT!!
