Excellent product:
This is an excellent product. I used it to space and fasten composite deck planks. The two functions the device performs: 1. As a jig for locating nail holes. Since I chose traditional screws, the gauge, when aligned above a joist, allowed for me to punch the hole locations in two adjacent planks. It also worked to properly align fasteners on butt-joined decking. I used a 2x1/4" screws as centerpunches - and the job flew by. 2. To space the deckboards. This is a very good tool to have doing the decking. I wish I had bought 2 of them since I had 2 crews putting decking on at the same time.
