Editorial Review:
The feisty onion brings flavor to an array of culinary delights, and more often than not, tears to the cook. This clever Onion Chopper dices onions in one swift motion, minimizing odors and reducing tearing. Handy enclosed container with non-skid feet doubles as a measuring cup and holds up to 2 cups of chopped onions. Includes lid cleaning tool. Dishwasher safe.
Work smarter, not harder with Progressive International's helpful onion chopper. Just slice an onion in two, set half on the stainless-steel blade, then close the hinged plastic lid. Voila! Dice onions without all the mess, odor, or time-consuming cleanup. The reinforced storage container is clear so it's easy to see how much you've chopped, and measurements up to two cups are printed on the sides. The compact tool stands on four round feet that keep it secure on the countertop or table. When the top is closed, the blade is protected and safely away from a busy chef's hands. This chopper stores easily in a drawer and comes with a tool to clean the lid easily. --Kara Karll

Great product:
I really like the way this chopper works. It saves so much time chopping. I also like the fact the it is dishwasher safe.
Love it, but does take some effort:
I love this thing. Makes quick work of onions and bell peppers. The other reviewers do have a point. It does take a bit of effort. I'm not a big guy, but I am a guy. I can understand how an older woman might not have as much fun as I do hammering down on vegetables. That the bottom section is graduated, allowing you to measure without transferring to another container, is a nice feature. Oh, and don't ever try to dice a tomato with this. It's not pretty. :)
I can chop onions faster and easier by hand.:
I chop a lot of onions in my house - I mean, a lot - and I've wished for one of these choppers for a long time. I finally allowed myself to buy one a few weeks ago. Boy, what a disappointment. The first time I used it I thought, "Well, it's not great, but at least it does the job." Then I tried to wash it - yikes! It may be dishwasher safe, but the dishwasher can't get the tiny holes in the blade, nor the grooves in the lid, clean. It took me ages to clean both of those parts by hand after it had gone... more info
