Leaks Oil:

I just bought a second of these units, having been pleased with the first unit for the last two years. Excellent thermostat, good (not overwhelming) heat output - adequate for an average sized room... no problems.
UNTIL...
I noticed a 2" oil spot under the first (oldest) of my two heaters. Fortunately, this unit was on a hardwood floor, so cleanup was easy. However, I suspect the unit is kaput, because as it continues to loose oil, it will eventually cease to function.

Paid for Themselves!:

I live in the Rockies of Colorado in an all electric house. My monster central furnance helped create a $300 a month electric bill. I purchased three of these units - one for the bedroom, one in the living room and one in the kitchen/dining area. My electric bill immediately went down to $180. Needless to say, they paid for themselves in just a couple of months. They are very reliable, give off a nice subtle heat and are very quiet. I am quite pleased with this purchase.

Hot heater:

My wife really likes this oil filled heater, because it seems much less hazardous than filament heaters and others, and seems to warm our basement exercise room more evenly. Does not warm a room quite as quickly as a filament heater, but quick enough.

I Think They Are Great!:

I recently purchased three of these thru Amazon. They all arrived in perfect condition. These heaters are totally quiet, no fan. They put out great heat with absolutely no odor! They come with a safe three-prong plug, thick cord - by Honeywell! I can't recommend them enough!
