Not too bad:
I purchased "Skil 94100-05 Pruning Reciprocating Saw Blades" specifically to use in pruning a flowering pear and a couple live oak trees. Since none of the branches have a diameter greater than 5 inches I thought they would work. Turns out I was right, they were able to walk through the limbs fairly well IF I supplied pressure to the branch to widen the kerf as I cut. The teeth need to be offset from each other to widen the cut as you go. Otherwise, the blade gets really hot, smokes and I would imagine... more info
Great price, perfect for yard work:
This multi pack from Amazon is the same price for (1) blade at my local chain store. These blades work great for everyday yard work.
Great for tree pruning:
I don't like to pull out the gas chainsaw out for small jobs. I bought a 18v reciprocating saw and use these blades. They go through small trees with ease. I have used them on small trees with up to an 6 inch diameter. They rip right through them. No mess no fuss.
Works Great:
I spent several hours one day cutting out overgrown branches from our Lilac bushes. Many were as big as 4-5 inches in diameter and 20 feet tall. I cleaned up row of them about 50 feet long using one blade; and it is still in good shape. I was using my Milwaukee cordless 18 volt reciprocating saw. I will use it again in the Fall to finish up this tedious mosquito infested project. I was glad the blade cut as fast as it did so I could avoid having too many of them fly up my nose.
