like the hammer, hate the installation:
The hammer is a great product, but the installation is bogus. First, the recommended velcro doesn't work because there isn't enough surface area on the back for any velcro to attach, and, in fact, parts of the back are concave which makes the velcro impossible. There are, however, holes for a screw installation. I was able to remove my center console and attach it with three screws, without any damage to any electrical system in the car. hope I never need it:
I hope I never need this item. However, I am glad I have it. I bought it because I saw it reviewed on television and decided it was worth it to have this item on hand.
Peace of mind.:
We have three of these handy little devices. Hopefully we will never ever have to use one of them, but it gives some peace of mind having them available. When we received our first one (we only bought one to start with), we took it to a local junk yard (they guy who owns it likes my friend and me) and he let us test it on several trashed out cars. The hammer works perfectly and can take a side or rear window out in a flash and the cutting end works great on seatbelts. Actually, it was sort of fun breaking... more info
