Expen$ive, But Worth it.:
I bought this heating pad because I have a neck and shoulder injury, and I wanted something less expensive than ThermaCare Air-Activated Neck, Shoulder and Wrist HeatWraps, Powerful Pain Relief Plus Deep Tissue Relaxation - NEW shape for improved fit - 9 HeatWraps, which work fantastically well, but were emptying my wallet. Our regular heating pad just wasn't staying on the right spot, even when I sat still in a chair. So I gave this a try, and kept the receipt in case it was junk. It works! It stays... more info
Good product:
Overall, this is a good heating pad. To have 8 settings is wonderful. Also, the 2 hour cut off is very nice, and you have the ability to set your own amount of time, from one half hour to "stay on". The reason that it does not get a 5 rating, is because of the big plug connector on the pad itself. It definitely gets in the way, but most of the time I can reposition the thing. Hopefully Sunbeam will redesign this. I believe the best part of this heating pad is the velcro, with an extension velcro... more info
Sunbeam builds perfect...lemons:
This heating pad is a total failure. Don't waste your time or money with it. It may actually work for a couple of times and then it will show the all too familiar F1 or F2 on the screenpad. Too bad the people at Sunbeam forgot to write in the manual what that means...or why it ceases to work when this happen. They must never use their products since this thing won't work. They should probably start selling this as a nice puzzle. Useless.
Nice feel, good control, does everything well but provide heat.:
It has a good solid well-built feel, and with eight heat settings and controllable auto-off times, what more could you want? Well, you might want heat. At the highest setting, it's just barely lukewarm. But today, during a power failure, with the house on generator power, I turned it on and at the lowest setting, it almost gave me serious burns. Definitely the electronics need some improvement.
