simple but weak:
This transmitter is very easy to use and works well in rural areas where you can find a clean station on the dial. Unfortunately I think this is a problem with all FM transmitters. They just don't let them make them strong enough to overpower interference. This unit allows you to select the station on the IPOD. It also has nifty presets so you can make a quick change if you encounter interference. If you live in a large city with lots of radio stations, don't bother. Wonderful Product!:
I tried one other fm transmitter for my 5th Gen iPod and it was awful. This one has crystal clear sound, no interference even in the Seattle Metro area! I use it on the Japan setting tuned to 87.9 in my car. It's nice because I can use it all over the house too, anywhere I have a clock radio. I'm thrilled!
Finally a cheap trasmitter that works.:
I've been through a griffin and a different model belkin fm transmitter. Finally the tunefm came through. This one charges the ipod. I would rather have an external screen on the transmitter rather than have to view it through the ipod itself; however that is easy to get over. The sound isn't quite fm radio quality but then again, anything short of a cable that plugs directly to your cd player wont be. I tested out an iriver mobile, and this one went side by side with it. What can't I say about this item. It's what every iPod needs. Tune to any free station on the dial, 4 presets and wireless! I love it!
