Excellent results every time.:
I've made 4 or 5 pies with this dish since purchasing it a few months ago. I have had great results every single time. The crust always comes out perfectly cooked. Also, I forgot to grease the dish once. But it was a non-issue as the pie didn't stick. After purchasing this pie dish I gave away my old non-stick metal pie plates. This pie dish is the only one I need..
Fits a need Le Creuset's cast iron line sometimes cannot:
As a Le Creuset cast iron fan, it was only natural that one day I would try out their stoneware products. While maintaining the same color options and increasing their product offerings, I still prefer the cast iron products over the stoneware. Even so, there are times when the stoneware fits a need the cast iron cannot effectively fulfill. The stoneware is not intended for use on the stovetop.
